This beautiful quilt was made by a lady in Etowah, TN.  She does just a wonderful job of piecing which makes her quilts a dream to quilt!

New Fabrics!!!!

Inventory was getting alittle low.  I know summer is coming but we will still be sewing on those hot days!

I ordered mini bolts of several blends called Variations and some new Kona Batiks.  Also a new fabric line called Midnight in Bloom.

Britney wanted a lunch bag to take to work.  So she picked the owl fabric for it.  I made the bag using insulated fleece so it will keep things cold or hot.  She can add a small ice pack for long term coldness.  I now have made about 6 of these bags!  They are perfect to take to quilt classes or quilt bee!

New Fiber Arts Blog!

Okay, I know some of the quilters are not interested in spinning, weaving & other fiber arts projects that I seem to get drawn to.  So I started a new blog for that part of my life.

I will try to keep this blog for quilting and sewing related things.

If you check out the new blog, let me know what you think.

Happy Quilting!

This quilt was made with my Thimbleberries & Civil War Reproductions scraps.  Fits a king size bed, don't know if block has a name - I just work with what I had and came up with this.  Thinking about calling it Tennessee Crossroads.

Isn't it suppose to be Spring?!

Seems this whole winter could have been described as COLD & RAINY but it is suppose to be spring now, right!  But it is cold and rainy...ugh.

I have been so laxed on keeping up with the blog, sorry!  I have been busy trying to get a few new samples made.  Plus spinning & weaving - set a goal that I would spin then weave it into fabric that I could cut and make into a quilt or at least a wall hanging.

New samples made with the Roses fabric by Maywood.

With the left overs from the Railfence quilt, I made a cute table runner.

Double Irish Chain
Most of both quilts were traditional patterns that I cut on the Accuquilt.
Katherine finished her Double Wedding Ring quilt (all hand pieced and hand quilted).  We were so honored that she brought it by for show & tell.

Janet made this quilt from fabrics that were used for the reception at her daughter's wedding.  What a beautiful keepsake for her daughter.

We are so lucky that there are so many very talented quilters in the area and I am so very lucky that they send pictures or bring them by the shop for show & tell!

Rainy Day Sale!

Morning everyone - have you floated away!!!!  Guess  all we can do is work on quilts, plan our next quilt, play with the fabric we have and see what we need to make more projects!  Oh, yea, we can look at seed catalogs, too.

I watch the rain wash the topsoil off the garden yesterday, then just went back to my sewing machine and try not to think about it.  All this rain and gloomy weather has gotten me down and depressed so  I did decide we need a sale to perk us up!

So starting tomorrow, Thurs, January 31st., the Maywood Rose collection and the Amy Butler will be $5.00 yard (min 1 yard cut).  Beautiful fabrics - the Rose border had a curve to it so when you add it to the quilt, it will look like you cut a curve and sewed it in.
Amy Butler is so fresh and feels like spring.  Great for quilts or home dec or maybe that Easter outfit.

Also, there will be a couple unadvertised specials.

Bring your show & tell!
